GRANT AND FINANCING RESOURCES

The purpose of CARIN is to offer entrepreneurs and micro, small, and medium-sized businesses access to funding at various stages. This can be from Alberta Innovates Voucher program to Community Futures’ lending services for start-up and/or expansion.

FINANCING

AWE Financing – AWE financing can help women in Alberta purchase a business, start a new business or grow their existing business. Our repayable loans (up to $150,000) have flexible repayment options and terms up to 5 years.

BDC Financing Loans – BDC promotes entrepreneurship by providing highly tailored financing, venture capital, and consulting services to entrepreneurs. Federal program to support ICT facility and consulting needs.

Community Futures Central Alberta – Community Futures provides a variety of customized, affordable loan options for small business owners and entrepreneurs in rural Alberta, ranging from $500 to $150,000. They are known for saying “yes” when other lenders say “no”, and for having flexible qualification criteria.

Futurpreneur – Futurpreneur helps aspiring entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 39 with mentorship and financing. Futurpreneur can provide up to $45,000 in collateral-free financing.

Alberta Innovates

The Micro-Voucher, Voucher and Product Demonstration Programs (PDP) support early to late stage technology and knowledge-driven SMEs operating in Alberta towards advancing technology readiness. Depending on their needs, eligible companies can apply for funding ranging from $0 up to $300,000 to help cover the costs in hiring third-party services and/or equipment for the purpose of business and technology development. Click here to learn more
